Stymied!

Hokay. So.

The game took about two hours to install, between the three DVDs of data and the background downloads that had to finish before I could play. Not awful, somewhat expected.

The opening cinematic was ... really quite amazing. But then, pretty much anything that appropriately uses Duel of the Fates gets a pass from me.

And then...the game exits. No explanation. Restart the game, log in, the game exits after the opening splash.

Looks like I've been bitten by the Bioware bug. So I guess I won't be able to log in and play just yet.

EDIT: Downloading the installer from the website and running it (to do a "repair" on my existing install) solved the problem.
