I've been playing my paladin a lot lately.
At first, he felt a lot squishier. However, that's changed. I think, though I've seen no direct confirmation of this, that Blizzard pushed through a stealth buff. Made paladins tougher. Now, I feel immortal. As in, "I'm fairly sure I could solo the Theramore scenario" sturdy.
I actually really dig the new rotation. The three-step heartbeat is a bit more interesting than the two-step, about in par with the 969 we used to have. So that's nice. Also, the best part is, with Sacred Shield talented, I'm never really wanting for a button to press. That's important. It's a lot to keep track of, but it's really nice to feel engaged.
As for ret ... great bolshy yarblockos, the deeps. It's like being at the beginning of Wrath all over again, putting out these numbers. Of course, it's not all sunshine -- the rotation has gaps. Not enough buttons to press. Or maybe I've just not got the hang of it yet. I'd say "we'll see," but truthfully I don't really expect to be rolling ret all that often.
On to other things.
Actually, thus far there's really only one thing to talk about: how much warlocks are awesome now. I'd heard that they were the new hotness, so I rerolled the gnome lock I've started three or four times now and had at it. Verdict? Demo is awesome. Glyph of Demon Hunting is hawesome. I love the demonic fury resource, I love having the demon tanky tools, I love having wings all the time. If they came up with something like that for priests, only with angel wings, I'd have a new main before I finished reading the announcement. But as it stands, I'm enjoying locking far more than I ever expected to.
I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be for Pandaria. Six days to go. My monk is reserved, my paladin is geared, I'm out of projects, I'm basically good to go.
