Huh.

I could have sworn that I posted about taking a break from the game, but apparently I didn't.  Or Blogspot ate my post.  Whatever.  Anyway.

I was going to take November off from WoW, owing to wanting to participate in NaNoWriMo and handle some other projects that have been on burners of various kinds for a few months now.  Unfortunately, I forgot to empty my mailboxes before I pulled the plug.  Also, I've been working enough that by the time I get home I don't want to work some more, even if it's on things I'm passionate about.  Leveling a monk is unlike work enough that I can enjoy it and don't have to think too hard about it, so here we are.  Hiatus cancelled.

That being said, I don't have a lot to say right now about the game.  I've just hit 85 on my monk whilst letting my paladin have a nice semi-retirement at Halfhill.  I am amused that such a thing is now possible, that a toon you no longer want to play, or don't want to play right now, can literally be "put out to pasture."  Presuming they're level 85, that is.

So the next step is to get the monk through Jade Forest, and then I can finally start seeing content that's new to me.  It'd be nice to have everything ready to go by the time 5.1 drops, so that I'm more or less "caught up" at that point, but we'll see.  I'm playing but I'm trying to keep things balanced with the other projects, so I'm not committing to any kind of timeframe.

Oh!  But there is a bit of news.  Some of you may be familiar with meetup.com -- it's a website that allows people to create community groups geared towards various topics.  Meetup has the fatal flaw that it costs money to create a group.  Facebook, however, does not have this flaw, and since a WoW meetup has been something I've wanted for a while, I've gone ahead and made one for my local area.  First meeting's the 15th, which, wow, is sooner than I thought.

It's been a weird autumn.  Time's been passing faster than I'm used to.  I have no idea where October went, and we're already a week into November.  It's weird.
